Overview
Initial two weeks involved going through an in-house training programme on full stack web development with React, .NET and SQL server. After that, each intern is assigned to a project. During the project phrase of the internship, each day involved starting off with a team standup, running through any issues or problems. The rest of the day is then mostly working on completing tickets.
Skills
I came into the internship with little to no experience in web development and through the training progamme I learned a lot about full stack web development.
Responsibilities
I was assigned tickets and took on the responsibility of coming up with a good solution to the problem. There is a good amount of freedom in the final implementation of the product, my supervisor provided sufficient guidance to ensure I am always on the right track.
Support & Guidance
Everyone is very helpful in Ghyston. There was never a scenario where I had a technical question and did not know who to ask.
Culture
The company culture is very inclusive and the atmosphere is friendly, there are many moral events catered to people with different interests.
