Overview
A fair amount of L&D, getting familiar with the companies way of doing things. Supporting with decks/onboarding packs, shadowing meetings, learning about business areas, learning about work done so far with the client
Skills
PowerPoint skills (developed a lot), presentation skills, communication skills, networking
Responsibilities
It felt like a good level of responsibility but there were times it feels like I could have taken on more responsibility
Support & Guidance
A lot of support, they provide you a buddy (analyst level), a project mentor to help you with work specifics, a project manager to provide high level help with work and a people lead who gives advice on career and skill development beyond your project. I always felt that I had people I could talk to
Culture
Incredibly inclusive, collaborative and positive. Good work life balance. Everyone cares about helping you get the best out of your experience and people were always willing to meet to talk about their experiences and give advice
Your Impressions
I had a really positive experience, it completely subverted what I expected from corporate culture. It felt like a place where I could develop a lot in my career, feel supported and also give something back. The work was also very interesting
Yes
Have an open mind about the work you are doing, even if it doesn’t seem to align with your interest you will end up finding something on the project you like. Network as much as you can, don’t feel bad about asking to meet senior people they 9/10 times want to meet and help you
