Overview
My role involved learning about pensions and the business of Aon. I was tasked with completing calculations and work to aid the running of pension schemes
Skills
I have learnt so much new information about pensions and pension calculations, my subject knowledge is much broader than when I started. I've also learnt soft skills such as professional etiquette and communication within a team.
Responsibilities
I had the ability to take on tasks but not being assigned to a specific team meant I wasn't given a lot of responsibility overall
Support & Guidance
I was given a lot of guidance during my internship. People were always willing to help and when I got tasks from people, I always had sufficient information to carry me through the tasks set.
Culture
The company culture is great at Aon. It's not as cutthroat as corporate work is depicted by other people whilst high standards are still paramount around the business. I was in a demanding yet enjoyable environment that allowed me to thrive and develop.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my internship a lot and I would like to come back here again if given the chance.
