Overview
My role was within the supervision of the Asset Management Industry. It was a very vibrant area with a large remit. This created lots of opportunities to learn including: Firm Visits, Data Analysis, Investigation Work and Workshops and Research of the Industry
Skills
I was able to develop my data analysis skills by using various different tools as well as having the chance to learn different programmes/systems at the same time. Furthermore, I was allowed to work across numerous different teams with different people which helped my presentation and networking skills.
Responsibilities
I was allowed to manage small projects/reviews on my own, which was great experience for someone who is new to the industry and company. I was given lots of support when required to facilitate this.
Support & Guidance
I was always offered support and guidance when needed throughout the duration of the internship, which gave me the environment to learn as much as possible in a short space of time.
Culture
It was very open and welcoming and I always felt like a member of the department. People are always open to help on tasks/projects and it is a great place to support the growth of young employees.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the internship and I had no issues fitting into the team I was in because of the support I was given. I thoroughly enjoyed all opportunities given to me and had the chance to work with many great individuals.
