Overview
My role involved maintaining and communicating day to day with buyers within the industry. Building reports internally to record performance as well as working with internal stakeholders on different projects.
Skills
I have developed my negotiation skills as well as communication skills. These are used daily within the business. I have also improved my excel skills which was an asset during my time in role.
Responsibilities
I was given the responsibility to look after an account on my own. Therefore I was given the responsibility to let the business know how they are performing in weekly calls as well as being the main point of communication with the buyer.
Support & Guidance
I recieved a lot of support and guidance from my manager. We would have weekly meetings to make sure I was doing well, as well as performance reviews each quarter to see if I needed any support as well as giving me freedom to ask for more tasks or challenges
Culture
The atmosphere at the company was great. The culture was very nice, everyone had good relationships with others who weren’t even in their team. The company made sure every adopted a welcome and respectful atmosphere.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at the company. I would recommend it to any student who wants to explore the world of sales. As it brings a lot of opportunities and experience within this industry.
