  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role involved maintaining and communicating day to day with buyers within the industry. Building reports internally to record performance as well as working with internal stakeholders on different projects.

  • I have developed my negotiation skills as well as communication skills. These are used daily within the business. I have also improved my excel skills which was an asset during my time in role.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given the responsibility to look after an account on my own. Therefore I was given the responsibility to let the business know how they are performing in weekly calls as well as being the main point of communication with the buyer.

  • I recieved a lot of support and guidance from my manager. We would have weekly meetings to make sure I was doing well, as well as performance reviews each quarter to see if I needed any support as well as giving me freedom to ask for more tasks or challenges

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The atmosphere at the company was great. The culture was very nice, everyone had good relationships with others who weren’t even in their team. The company made sure every adopted a welcome and respectful atmosphere.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at the company. I would recommend it to any student who wants to explore the world of sales. As it brings a lot of opportunities and experience within this industry.
