Overview
Completed several projects designed to train us on the pensions industry. Assisted colleagues with client facing work such as attending research meetings. Worked on 5 short term projects and presented these to partners.
Skills
Learned about the pensions industry and speaking with fund managers. Learned what to look for when assessing funds to invest in and the intricacies of risk and reward.
Responsibilities
We were given some amount of responsibility although it was mainly grunt work and there was very little scope for decision making
Support & Guidance
Everyone was very helpful and willing to provide assistance and help with understanding. However, the industry itself is not too complex
Culture
Very friendly and supportive
Your Impressions
It was a good placement and we got to work on actual projects. Weeks did feel a bit repetitive although I suppose that is the nature of the industry
Yes
Don’t be afraid to show your authentic self.
