The Role
The placement was extremely enjoyable with varied tasks and projects to work on.
I was placed in a brilliant team who supported me both professionally and personally.
I had 2 managers, one who was responsible for my every day tasks and one who was responsible for my career. Both supported me and guided me throughout my year.
I was very busy on a daily basis, working on real projects.
I was working on real projects, often given a lot of responsibility. The day to day tasks I had meant that the team relied on me to complete the tasks punctually and to a high standard.
I completed a database course to aid me in my day to day tasks as well as a number of line courses. This will help me with my dissertation as well as future employment.
The Company
The office was a very friendly environment, with everyone willing to help.
The placement was organised very well allowing me to attend a number of events, training days and opportunities.
I had to the opportunity to complete a number of courses and education that allowed me to develop my skills.
Working from home
As a result of my placement, I have been accepted onto the graduate scheme.
The Culture
There was a great social atmosphere at my work location which often involved placement students meeting up during the evenings/weekends etc.
The cost of living in the area was quite low.
There was good nightlife which was often experienced with the placement students.
There was the opportunity to attend a number of events outside work at a cheaper price.
