  • The placement was extremely enjoyable with varied tasks and projects to work on.

  • I was placed in a brilliant team who supported me both professionally and personally.

  • I had 2 managers, one who was responsible for my every day tasks and one who was responsible for my career. Both supported me and guided me throughout my year.

  • I was very busy on a daily basis, working on real projects.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was working on real projects, often given a lot of responsibility. The day to day tasks I had meant that the team relied on me to complete the tasks punctually and to a high standard.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I completed a database course to aid me in my day to day tasks as well as a number of line courses. This will help me with my dissertation as well as future employment.

  • The office was a very friendly environment, with everyone willing to help.

  • The placement was organised very well allowing me to attend a number of events, training days and opportunities.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a great social atmosphere at my work location which often involved placement students meeting up during the evenings/weekends etc.

  • The cost of living in the area was quite low.

  • There was good nightlife which was often experienced with the placement students.
