Overview
Working on reports typically planning constraints and writing planning applications.
Skills
I have enhanced my report writing skills and improved my technical terminology and knowledge of the planning system.
Responsibilities
I was given quite a bit of responsibility, however never more than I can handle. I also had multiple people checking up on me and helping me if i got stuck.
Support & Guidance
I had multiple levels of support, not just from my line manager but the entire team helped me out.
Culture
The company culture was really great, quite relaxed but hard working at the same time. Through my time I attended a cricket match, an evening out with the team and an office lunch.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship, the last 2 months have helped me grow and develop in the planning industry and in my career development.
Yes
If you are able to gain some more work experience as I think if I had no experience I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much, because the team I was in was quite technical at times. That being said, there were multiple opportunities for asking questions and learning as you go along.
