The Role
I enjoyed the placement and I have gained good experience. It would have been nice to have more of a variety in my role.
I felt very valued by my colleagues.
I was giving good support and guidance by my managers. They encouraged me to be proactive and think for myself.
The work balance was quite difficult to get right due to the nature of the role. It was a new role so nothing was completely defined. In comparison to other roles who had set out daily tasks my role was a lot less organised and balanced.
The level of responsibility was quite high as it was my role to produce all the pipeline reports and tracking revenue so reporting on an incorrect figure would have had a major negative impact.
The skills I have developed will help me in my studies in a huge way. Also the training I have received will be very beneficial for my degree. I have been given the opportunity to improve and develop skills such as communication, confidence, presentations, excel, IT and many more.
The Company
General atmosphere was really positive and fun. There are always a lot of people in and the rest of my team on a regular basis which makes it good to come in.
The set up was well organised in ensuring we knew what we were doing and the hiring process. During placement there were opportunities that arised that not everyone got to be a part of. Towards the end this had started to change however it was too late.
They gave me opportunities to develop skills by setting up numerous presentation both individual and group. The offer free online learning courses in most aspects of the business as well as IT skills. They enabled me to go to classroom training which will be beneficial to my future career. Overall they invested a good amount into me. As there is a really high number of placement students this is a good level of training and development they offer.

Future employment prospects are very appealing as there is so many different roles you can do. Also as I have been on placement there is the opportunity to be fast tracked through the recruitment process. They also encourage you to find out about the organisation and its different parts by shadowing and networking giving you more of an insight as they encourage career movement within the organisation.
The Culture
There was a really good social scene amongst the other placement students and we organised various events together and got to know each other really well. There was a lot based in the same location too which really helped.
It was expensive to live and socialise as I was based and living in outer London. The salary was good and covered it however sometimes it was difficult to do all the social things and pay for personal bills.
The nightlife is OK were I work however there are a lot of other places to go a short bus / train away so it was really good.
There are endless opportunities to get involved with including sports teams, volunteering at schools, colleges etc. Events such as working at Wimbledon and the Olympics are available.
