Overview
-Responsible for creating a communications plan for tests update to be amplified, and one of these communication channels I recommended were newsletters. - I analysed our current video case studies and provided recommendations to repurpose the existing video case studies. - I worked in a team to conduct research and present to marketing leaders our recommendations to improve awareness on sustainability within Cisco services. - I generated content for social media for one of Cisco's campaigns.
Skills
Yes, My Communication skills have improved. During this internship, I have clearly conveyed information in my presentations excellently. I have learned analytical skills through the analysis conducted and tools utilised.
Responsibilities
I was given responsibilities enough for a beginner in the company.
Support & Guidance
There was a lot of support and guidance. Every colleague I came across, I reached out to, asked questions have been extremely helpful. They would always respond to me with efficiency and explain their answers in-depth. I never for once struggled with any project due to this support and guidance. I could also be myself around them.
Culture
The company has such a friendly atmosphere, a very supportive, inclusive, and diverse culture. When I researched the company, I always knew they had all these qualities but until I experienced it myself, I knew it was true. Cisco is indeed the best place to work.
Your Impressions
To a huge extent. I had the opportunity of networking as we were flown to San Francisco for a readout project. There, I got to meet my fellow cohort from around the world and it was so good to meet them in-person. I also really enjoyed all my projects and the support I had.
Yes
- Be curious to learn, be open. - Be your authentic self - Don't be afraid to ask questions. There is nothing like a dumb question and there is no right or wrong answer. Every recommendation you suggest is valuable.
