Overview
Product manager intern, working within a team that focuses on the homepage of both Expedia group and Hotels.com I was collaborating with designers and developers daily, making sure that product timelines were on track.
Skills
Learnt how to carry out a product teardown, develop Jira ticket, carry out internal "test and learns". Learnt How to balance customer needs and stakeholder requirements. presentation skills
Responsibilities
Was given responsibility of certain key features and entrusted to roll this out myself. I was allowed to work on my own mostly, with minimal help from my manager but available if i requested.
Support & Guidance
I had both a navigator and a manager so I was able to receive ample help with this regard
Culture
It is a very global company. The overall culture was limited, with not too many young people working on my team in the same office
Your Impressions
I very much enjoyed my placement. I would have enjoyed it more if I had experienced more interaction with younger people based within our team.
