Overview
I worked on building templates to aid the business which were distributed globally and also conducted research tasks in tax that I had to present in front of senior managers and the impact they would have on the business.
Skills
My presentation skills have vastly improved and I now have a greater confidence whenever I have to present on a topic. My excel skills were quite well established before but using large data sets has helped me develop them further.
Responsibilities
After to speaking to some of my friends, the amount of responsibility I was given was brilliant. Working on projects that are being using to improve the agile methodology of the company and now used globally is a testament of this.
Support & Guidance
My two rotation managers were always there for support and guidance and I never worried about asking any questions from them. Every person in the office was helpful and I always had tasks to do.
Culture
The culture at DB is second to none. Everyone was kind and helpful and provided you put the effort in to get to know people and do the work you will have a great time.
Your Impressions
These 9 weeks have been amazing; I've loved every second of it from making new friends with the other interns to doing tasks that actually benefit the business. It was well organised and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to do this.
Yes
Definitely be confident and when speaking to any team members but also in interview stages. Always ask question if your unsure and just always put 110% into the work you do carefully checking it.
