Overview
Engaging with the client and wider team in meetings to determine the deliverables required for the client. Working on the determined deliverables, collaborating with colleagues and reviewing the work together to ensure the clients needs are being met.
Skills
I have become a more confident and comfortable communicator, I can now better discuss and converse with clients in a professional setting. I have also greatly improved my presentation skills both for external clients and internal stakeholders. MY technical knowledge of Data visualisation software (Power BI) has also greatly improved.
Responsibilities
I was given plenty of responsibility in regard to client work and deliverables however I felt I was fully supported and the work that was of utmost importance was checked, refined and feedback was given to ensure the clients needs were met and I felt as though whilst given responsibility. It wasn't too much pressure.
Support & Guidance
I was fully supported by the PwC hierarchy during my internship. From being allocated a Buddy at associate level, a career coach at senior level and support from SLT on my project. PwC's flat hierarchy allowed for me to feel support and guidance from each level.
Culture
Working at PwC, meant I found myself working in a very relaxed, collaborative and positive corporate environment.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my Summer Internship at PwC and would greatly recommend it to anyone.
Yes
If you are considering applying to PwC, go for it. I recommend people who are applying to consider consulting especially if they are unsure of what they want to do long term as it contains a wide breadth of experiences and variations.
