Overview
I help out teams with project, picking up work that needs an extra hand. Work was varied, no two days were the same. I did a lot of excel work and a fair bit of admin, and also got to shadow meetings and client calls.
Skills
Yes - I new nothing about Excel and have now had some training. I also know how Executive pay works and learnt about career architecture and job levelling. I also did market research on pay equity and got to present my own presentation to the office, which was fun.
Responsibilities
Not an overwhelming amount, but some. I had to hit deadlines and my work was going towards client projects.
Support & Guidance
Lots, everyone was so warm and welcoming, I felt like part of the team.
Culture
Very nice. The culture is relaxed and welcoming, everyone is friendly. I settled in super fast. The company puts a lot of trust in you to do your work in a way that suits you.
Your Impressions
I had a lovely time. The work was quite boring sometimes, but i enjoyed making my own presentation and the great people and nice atmosphere made it fun.
Yes
Talk to everyone, connect with people on LinkedIn. Be smiley and friendly in interview, let others speak in the assessment centre: show you're a good listener as well as a good talker.
