Overview
Day-to-day, work included working on live deals and transactions. The work also included regularly interacting with other teams such as the corporate banking team to execute transactions within the required time. Smaller jobs included updating weekly market slides and weekly trackers. More long term work included working on loan documentation, putting together marketing pitches / slides to promote various loan projects and sitting in on clients meeting used to advise them on the options available to them.
Skills
I have learned many new skills. Skills include learning how to work on demand and within a quick period while delivering well thought out work with little to no mistakes. I have also learned how to interact with colleagues in other divisions too.
Responsibilities
I was given quite a bit of responsibility - I was fortunate to be places on an acquisition which was quite exciting. Besides that, we are expected to to the weekly updates to important data quite early on.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support - the team was super friendly and answered and questions I had. I never felt intimidated to ask anything even if I felt it was silly. I felt very well supported by both my manager and staffer as well.
Culture
Good culture and atmosphere, everyone very friendly and eager to help out where they can
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot, my fellow interns and colleagues were lovely but besides that, I learned whole lot about the loan process and products
