Overview
Designing software systems, participating in team meetings and collaborating with the broader organisation, executing the design through programming
Skills
I improved technical skills such as C++ programming, object-oriented design and testing, as well as learning new practices around security and GraphQL. With regard to designing software, I have much more experience in real-life large systems now. I also learnt to evaluate the business and engineering needs of the organisation to guide my development approach.
Responsibilities
Yes, I guided a lot of the project and was trusted by my TL and mentor on decisions. I could also make decisions that impacted things outside my project in the team.
Support & Guidance
A lot, both my manager and TL were readily available.
Culture
Greatly collaborative. There was an emphasis on knowledge sharing, and I was encouraged to participate both to learn and teach.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it greatly. The events were fun and I found my task especially fulfilling.

To practise interviews, and especially system design. Also to familiarise themselves with the company's aims and philanthropic initiatives.
