Overview
Systems engineering using DOORS to analyse systems requirements. Involved in the entire project to accurately perform requirements analysis and improve on existing requirement documentation. Raised queries with stakeholders across the project to address developments, discrepancies and key details that need to be captured within requirements.
Skills
Primarily developed systems analysis skills. Learnt how to use important systems engineering software DOORS. Developed interpersonal skills in working as a team to effectively get information. Learnt about how the systems I was working with worked at a surface level from a mechanical, electrical and software perspective.
Responsibilities
As the sole systems engineer for the project I was working on, I had a lot of responsibility. I had regular meetings with senior systems engineers to review my progress
Support & Guidance
Had checkins every morning and dedicated meetings twice a week to discuss my work and raise problems. I could get support instantly whenever needed and rarely had any major problems. Had a lot of support overall.
Culture
Balanced culture with a relaxed but focused atmosphere.

I enjoyed the placement as I learnt a lot and got exactly what I was looking for. I liked the company culture and plan on returning in the future.
