  • You do real-life client work given by colleagues from the actuary department. The job can vary a lot from going through spreadsheets, producing reports, individual cases. Overall, you do not have to worry about getting bored because the work is never the same.

  • Learnt a lot of basic pension knowledge and definitely improved my excel skill a lot. Developed my communication skill as well from daily interactions with colleagues.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • They let you do real-life client work and all the work will always be well-explained to you. Everyone is friendly and always encourage you to ask questions. Work will be checked and reviewed and you will be given feedback on the work you have done which I find it very useful.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • You will get a buddy who you can always approach to for any questions you have, but everyone else is very friendly to help you as well. Trainings are given in the first two weeks for average 3 hours daily to help you with company's software and basic knowledge. Overall, the support system here is amazing.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • General atmosphere is quite relax given you have control on how to arrange your time as long as you finish your work on time. There are weekly workload update as well so you can ask for help/give help when it is too overwhelming for you/someone else.

  • It was a fulfilling one and definitely learnt a lot. You got a taste of life working as a long time employee and knew work you will be involved in. People here are friendly and supportive so it's easy to ask for help when needed. Overall experience was great.
