Overview
I am working as a research intern and with my mentor, my main focus is to develop learning-to-rank methods to help improve the current recommending strategies. I have daily meetings with my mentor, weekly meeting with my team-leader and weekly presentations to the whole team.
Skills
Yes. My programming skills are largely improved during my internship. Also, I have gained much knowledge in recommender systems, especially learning to rank.
Responsibilities
Yes. I have the freedom to explore different ideas and try different methods.
Support & Guidance
My mentor, team-leader and other people from the team are also open and available. They provided very useful suggestions and also daily support for my project.
Culture
The overall environment is really open and cheerful. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it. If possible, I wish I can have another internship here in the future.
