Overview
I was heavily involved in organising G-Research case studies across the globe, supporting the team with the recruitment process for the Spring Insights Week and finding good candidates on Linkedin for their other positions. I also was given the chance to take full ownership of the CSR projects, organised trainings and coaching sessions for my colleagues as well as talks with external speakers for the technical teams.
Skills
I learned how to: - become better at recruiting - interview candidates - organise external and internal events in support of my colleagues and applicants - manage projects on my own - become more confident and independent in my work - understand better people's needs and how to work with different teams - have fun and network with other interns
Responsibilities
I was given much more responsibility than I expected, which for me was one of the most important takeaways of my placement. My team trusted me with various tasks and taught me how to be independent, which for me was extremely helpful and allowed me to develop a lot professionally.
Support & Guidance
I always received enough support and guidance when necessary, but I was also allowed to approach my tasks in my own way, which helped me to better understand my work style.
Culture
Very friendly and informal, a lot of events for the employees and opportunities to get to know your colleagues better
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement a lot and it is my favourite internship experience so far!
Yes
Research the company well and see how you can fit in the team you would like to join, ask a lot of questions, show initiative and be curious!
