Overview
My day-to-day consisted of my weekly and daily tasks, usually centred around tracking the performance of sales and making sure we didn't have any supply constraints. My work was quite cyclical, if we had a new model launching I would have to go through a series of tasks to make sure the car was ready to be launched, often starting to process over 3 months in advance of the car being launched.
Skills
My skills have massively developed while working at Renault. On reflection, I think the skills which improved the most were; communication, and knowing how to speak professionally both in-person and online. Planning & organisation, knowing when to start a project and how long it will take while balancing your daily and weekly tasks. Excel learning new functions to complete tasks more efficiently and faster and being able to fix your functions and formulas when they brake.
Responsibilities
My responsibilities started small and grew as the year went on, I ended up with a lot of responsibility and was always ready to take on more!
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance during my placement, I do think I got really lucky with my line manager as he helped me massively along my journey. Help was always there you just had to ask for it.
Culture
The company culture was widely positive, you always have a few bad eggs but generally was very positive, especially within my team where everyone was always super nice and supportive.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship it helped me so much personally and professionally and couldn't recommend Renault anymore to anyone looking to apply.
Yes
Be yourself, your character stands out. Anyone is smart enough to do the work but it's those with a good work ethic and attitude who will succeed.
