Overview
I was involved in the medicalisation of online content and enhancing the representation and online presence of my brand. I designed and collaborated on new product renovations and launches. I also was involved in producing content to help sell products in national e-retailers as well as the design of tangible materials to be given to the customer and to advertise the brand I was working for.
Skills
I have learnt a plethora of new skills as well as developed my existing skills. Being adaptable, open-minded and determined are just three of many that I have had the opportunity to improve at L'Oréal as the environment is quite fast-paced at times and juggling different projects at the same time is expected.
Responsibilities
Yes I was given quite a bit of responsibility, I found that as the internship progressed I was being entrusted with more and more which was is encouraging. However, whilst I was given responsibility and independence during my internship, I never felt as though I couldn't ask anyone higher on my team for help or guidance if needed.
Support & Guidance
A huge amount - I had weekly (if not sometimes twice a week) 1-2-1 meetings with my Line Manager which was appreciated and helped me stay on the right track.
Culture
Working at L'Oréal in the ACD/LDB division is an extremely friendly and welcoming environment to work in, where everyone, no matter the position, was treated equally and felt heard as well as mutually respected.
Your Impressions
I've loved my internship at L'Oréal this summer, I've learnt an invaluable amount of new skils and content but also I've developed some really strong friendships and relationships
Yes
Be yourself, because the chances are that the person interviewing you has also been in your position, wanting a job, and know how you feel. You don't have to pretend, the interviewer will be understanding of nerves.
