Overview
My role was to support NCA mainly. This involved research on client profiles & sending out emails, listening in on client calls & a big part was a social media campaign. We created infographics, podcasts & videos to promote IBM as a sustainable software brand.
Skills
Yes, I think the main skill I have developed is technical knowledge given that I have learnt a lot about the sustainable software portfolio. I have also developed my presentation skills & gained really valuable feedback which I have taken onboard. Communication is something that I have also gained huge confidence in, given that I have been in situations where I have spoken to a large audience & general communication with my team.
Responsibilities
I believe that I did, I was in charge of the social media campaign, along with a team member which allowed us to develop our own ideas & use our creativity. I also was in charge of reaching out to many new clients, based on my own research & findings.
Support & Guidance
I was given a lot of support throughout my internship. Whenever I had a question, I felt comfortable asking anyone for support and I always felt welcome by everyone.
Culture
The culture was very inclusive, everyone was super friendly & I felt welcomed by everyone. The atmosphere was always very positive, with everyone very open to having conversations throughout the day in the office.
Your Impressions
My internship experience was amazing, I could not fault it! I definitely feel that I learnt a lot more than I expected, and I definitely developed key skills which I will take on into my future career. I met some amazing people and I hope to stay in touch with everyone!
Yes
Just be yourself, be confident & don't doubt yourself and your abilities. Make sure you research the company & show your understanding throughout interviews. Also, make sure you show your personality & really explain why you would be ideal for the role.
