Overview
Working on adding a feature to the Bloomberg Terminal. Worked predominantly in C++ and JavaScript.

Responsibilities
Yes, given a lot of responsibility. Project allowed me to add features that clients would use later. So felt like I had a lot of impact.
Support & Guidance
Great support. My mentor was very helpful and encouraged me to ask questions when I was stuck. The floor plan is open so it really easy to get your doubts answered by someone sitting around you. Also, you can reach out to engineers on other teams and easily get a response as well!
Culture
Great! everyone was supportive and open to answering questions.
Your Impressions
Enjoyed it very much! Working at Bloomberg is rewarding and you will definitely learn a lot, but also the social opportunities are great, and the company produces a great sense of community.
Yes
Apply early and practice the coding interview questions! Also Bloomberg puts a significant emphasis on System Design questions so spend time learning those concepts as well!
