Overview
Each day we had classes focused on programming / machine learning / statistics. We also attended talks by full-time employees discussing their roles in the company. In the evenings, we engaged in social activities with other participants.
Skills
I definitely learned a lot about machine learning and increased my programming skills.
Business Insight
I definitely learned a lot about the roles available at G-Research. It was especially helpful to hear about a European quantitative finance firm since I have mostly heard about American firms (since I attend university in the US).
Culture
The company culture is very research-focused. They mostly have hire from the PHD pool of candidates so the culture feels very academic.
Your Impressions
I loved my experience there. All of the participants were extremely bright and they really added to my experience there.
