Overview
Supporting in the management of farms and estates across the south of England. Such as assisting the creation of budgets, environmental schemes and restructuring the business operation,
Skills
Absolutely, my IT, communication and practical knowledge were all greatly developed during my role with Savills.
Responsibilities
I was very fortunate, my line manager was an excellent delegator, allowing me to grow in confidence in my role and develop my soft skills through a higher than expected level of responsibility in my role.
Support & Guidance
Support and guidance was always on hand, I was very fortunate with my mentor, close in age but they were much more experienced, we became great friends and have stayed in touch outside of work.
Culture
As my first office role I would have to say I don't have any other experience, as such it is difficult to compare. However, numerous social events for grads and placement students were put on, as well as great support from HR If it was required. I couldn't compliment Savills any higher for it's culture and atmosphere.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. When I started my role, I really did not know what to expect, but I loved all of it. My soft skills, practical knowledge were all greatly developed during my time.
