Overview
Worked as part of an agile scrum team as a software engineer. Interns were working in pairs on a project for Autodesk Fusion360.
Skills
C++, Agile software Development, Source control, collaborative coding and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Yes, intern pairs were working on a project specific to them. Help was provided, but we were responsible for the success of the project.
Support & Guidance
There was easy access to support, within the team for development help, but also from management for general internship questions.
Culture
Company culture was great. It was a very welcoming environment. However there is a large amount of hybrid working and so the office was sometimes very empty - as an intern you are expected to come in every day.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement. It was a great opportunity to work and learn about software engineering. Spending time with the other interns made it a fun experience. Opportunities to go out for meals, play pool at lunch etc.
Yes
Be interested in 3D modelling/design and experiment with Autodesk software before you interview.
