Responsibilities
It was a good balance. It depends on the manager though. Some interns did not have responsibility at all and some had too much. It just depends on who you work with. Mine was good.
Support & Guidance
The support and guidance is good
Culture
People are really welcoming and friendly if you make an effort with them. However, it is not very diverse if you are from an international background. Majority people are British and if you are a foreigner you might feel a bit different.
Your Impressions
It was my first time at a corporate firm so it was a really great experience. I liked the work life balance and the fact that there wasn’t insane amounts of pressure. Overall, I would recommend the internship.
Yes
Make sure you put an active effort to network, do not expect your internship to convert into a graduate role, join other teams and explore other areas of IBM as much as possible, make sure to socialise!
