Overview
I was a software QA placement. On a day to day basis I would attend department & team meetings as well as complete different forms of testing for features on both the NBS and NBS client apps.
Skills
Skills developed: - Test software with great attention to detail - Work and communicating in a team - Time management - Software development (Team were flexible and allowed me to contribute through software development as well as QA. - Working in an Agile team
Responsibilities
My team were very understanding in the sense that they did not overwhelm me with responsibilities from the moment I first started. I began with simple tasks and increased the complexity over time when I was comfortable doing so.
Support & Guidance
I found that there was a great support structure at NBS. Whether it be anyone in my team or department, my line manager, my personal mentor or the early talent team, I felt comfortable reaching out to anyone. They each provided me with plenty of guidance throughout my placement.
Culture
The atmosphere & culture was very nice in my experience - everyone gets on very well.
