Overview
Communicating with suppliers via email or video calls. Managing critical path ensuring everything is on time and correct to avoid delays. Ensuring all products are downloaded to the e-commerce website. Managing fits of garments. Managing samples and dealing with different stages of sealing.

Iv learnt many skills such as Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Costing formulas Presentation skills Developed organisational skills
Responsibilities
I had a lot of responsibility during my placement at Matalan, however I was supported throughout. Everyone is friendly and willing to help.
Support & Guidance
During the start when I needed more support and guidance I received a lot. Even thought Matalan is really busy everyone made time to help me when I needed it. I’m glad I asked for the help when I did as I believe this helped me massively to use my own initiative and work independently
Culture
Really good. The people made my time at Matalan great. Tea breaks and break out rooms were great to have a 5 minute break from your desk and crazy atmosphere! The culture at Matalan is that everyone is really hard working, however it is valued by senior members and heads off which is nice to feel appreciated.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed every aspect of my placement and was really sad when my time come to and end.
Yes
The experience is invaluable. You learn so much at such a fast pace, you think at one point there is no more to learn however there is so much that happens you are constantly learning.
