ACCESS intern Review

As an intern, Clifford chance have given me the opportunity to network with solicitors/partners and listen to speeches about different aspects of law and insights into the firm. Recently I listened to an M&A talk which explained how deals are orchestrated. I was alap able to gain insight into law by looking at Corporate case studies and learning what Global Financial Markets are. I also attended networking lunches with trainees and associates.

This internship has helped me develop my confidence, through talking to many different people at the firm. It has also allowed me to gain a greater insight into law, which will help me to excel in future law learning, e.g at university. I was able to develop core business skills during this program through being taught key concepts of law, this was critical to my personal development as well as professional. This internship has helped me to refine my writing skills on my personal statement for university.

I was able to view private corporate case studies and work through them with solicitors at the firm in order to gain an understanding of how I would respond to a similar question from a client as a solicitor in the future.

The upmost support and guidance. Especially from the Early Talent Acquisition Recruitment Advisor, as she was always available by email to help me with any difficulties or queries I had. Clifford Chance also gave me the opportunity to attend networking lunches with solicitors and trainee solicitors, in which I was able to ask them for support any questions I had. This was extremely helpful during my work experience week of the internship.

When I attended the welcome event at the London office, everyone treated me equally and kindly. Everyone was happy to help me with any queries I had. The office was an inclusive and welcoming environment to be in. During the virtual work experience week, I met partners, associates and trainee solicitors who were all friendly, enthusiastic about working with me and happy to assist.

I enjoyed my internship to a complete extent. I was able to gain legal work experience that will help me thrive in future practice and develop my personal and professional self. I was also able to make key connections through networking experiences and view the amazing work of Clifford Chance first hand.
