Overview
First week was induction- so listening to speeches and doing ice breaker tasks. These were really great, as it could be overwhelming at first but helped us settle in. Weeks two and three we were in sector teams for example IP or Competition law. We shadowed an associate and a partner and performed a series of standardised tasks for them.
Skills
People skills definitely improved as networking was a crucial part of the week. I always thought networking was a vague concept, but it’s just speaking to people and making friends, making acquaintances. Attention to detail also improved as they were incredibly hot on mistakes.
Business Insight
Really great, I feel like I got a good enough insight to the business as a whole.
Culture
Really really great- no complaints. Everyone was friendly, I even made friends with the Catering and services teams.
Your Impressions

Yes
Be yourself. People I know that didn’t get it tried to be something they weren’t or faked it. It’s the kind of place where you fit in or it’s just not quite for you and you’ll know it when you get there. They really dig deeper than grades to understand how you think and work and how you’d fit in which makes you feel so valued.
