The Role
It provided a real insight into the world of work, and also a great overview of all parts of the business.
The team was very supportive and i was treated the same as everyone else.
I had two managers, one for the Operations side, and one for the Finance side. They were both always busy but helped where possible. Other management provided useful feedback and ideas.
There were few days when it was quiet for me, but knowing that the reports i was providing were important was motivation to hit the deadlines. Some periods of each month are busier than others.
I was relied on to provide accurate reliable data to many parts of the business, including management to my suprise.
My experience and knowledge gained will be very useful as i will be able to apply personal experience to theories. The experience has also provided many important skills, both personal and technological that will assist in securing me a future career.
The Company
There was a timne to work, and a time to play. It was always clear as to which was going on.100% goes into both.
There were set duties for the role and a 3 week handover provided a good set up for the placement.
They were happy to invest in me to add value to both their business and also my personal development.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
I would definately think about re-applying to Pfizer Animal Health after graduation.Previous placement students have been employed after graduation.
The Culture
There was a very varied group of placement students who tended to socialise together rather than with other colleagues as a preference.
Based in Tadworth, Surrey, it is fairly expensive, however on the yearly wage students managed fine.
Not the best, but the centres do have bars etc.
