Overview
My main job role was to help colleagues with IT issues using the ticket desk. We would either connect to their computer remotely and talk over the phone or attend to them in person. The support team was very friendly and was always more than happy to answer any questions.
Skills
I improved and learned many new transferable and non-transferable skills. For the transferable skills, I improved my phone speaking skills, time management, stress control, people skills, prioritisation, how companies operate, and many more. For the non-transferable skills, I learned about virtual machines, how ticketing systems work, how servers are operated and maintained, and many more.
Responsibilities
Considering this was my first time working a 9-5 and also my first time working in IT, I would say that I was given the perfect amount of responsibility. I started off shadowing the previous undergraduate and as I learned the ropes, I was given more and more responsibilities such as holding and replying to my own tickets, suggesting potential solutions and ideas in meetings, and visiting building sites by myself to solve issues.
Support & Guidance
My team was very friendly and helpful. They knew that it was my first time in the industry so whenever there was a gap in my knowledge, they would always assist me rather than judge me. Whenever I had a question, my manager would always make sure he ha time to properly discuss it with my and made sure I fully understood the answer.
Culture
The company culture was outstanding. Everyone was smiley, friendly, and chatting which you could always feel in the atmosphere when walking through the office.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the placement greatly and never once regretted choosing Croudace. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone looking for a job.
Yes
I would recommend genuine and friendly so that you fit in with their culture.
