Overview
As part of my front runner internship, I was taking part on conducting research for Kimberlein library. The aim of the research was to understand student preference in accessing information about the library and services offered.
Skills
I definitely improved my research quality skills. As well as my work in the formal business environment and organisational skills.
Responsibilities
I would say so. I was given a main project to work on. There was additional work too like meetings, university activities. A lot of independent work as well.
Support & Guidance
I have received a lot of support from my project manager. She was not only there all the time, but I was able to go through data I collected and ask personal advise in general.
Culture
General atmosphere was very friendly. As a formal institution it was nice to have so many friendly and smiling members of staff. They were always asking how I was getting on.
Your Impressions
I would say I really enjoy my placement because it not only allowed me to practise necessary skills but I also felt supported every step on the way.
