The Role
A thoroughly enjoyable year from all aspects. A great balance of friendly people, interesting work and useful training.
I have been lucky enough to end up in a vibrant team of very skilled engineers. They are friendly and encourage my training and work.
The management have bent over backwards to ensure that I am getting on well in and out of work.
As with every job the level of work fluctuates, however, the project managers have been organised enough to provide a steady level of work without ever needing to put undue pressure on me.
I am yet to find out for sure how well my new knowledge and skills will assist me in work going forward. However, I can say that I have learnt more from my colleagues here at Lockheed Martin then the last few years of education put together.
The Company
Our team works hard and plays hard, and nothing compares to being in the same office as ex Royal Navy personnel on The International Speak Like A Pirate day.
The company has not held back in supporting my training. My manager has always worked hard to get me put onto interesting projects which will help me learn new skills and prove my worth within the company.

I haven't been offered a definite job. However, the company has a fantastic graduate scheme for which I am hoping I will get a conditional offering for.
The Culture
Not too bad, I was lucky enough to find a cheap room with a family here. Some of the flats can be a bit costly.
Not as good as uni, but its out there if you can find it.
As with anywhere in this world, there are always activities for anyone who wants to enjoy their hobbies and interests outside of work.
