Overview
Using software to distribute market comments, bylines and press releases. Responding/organising journalist meetings with AXA IM investment specialists Liaising with wider comms and marketing departments
Skills
Software skills including Eloqua, Coda, Salesforce. Utilised Microsoft tools: Word, Powerpoint, OneNote, Teams, Outlook. Used existing interpersonal skills to communicate with managers, management board and other interns
Responsibilities
I was given as much responsibility as I asked for, but not only that, I was entrusted with so many tasks for an intern role. I asked to be involved in the new intern interviewing process and involved in multiple working group projects.
Support & Guidance
I could always count on my team to help me with tasks or if I had too much going on. At first it was hard to ask for help but as I developed better connections with them I realised how nice everyone was. I also received help from HR helping with adjustments as I had physical health problems. During the cost of living crisis AXA IM also gave all interns financial aid which helped massively.
Culture
The company was non-competitive and very friendly. It helped a lot when transitioning from uni to work. Everyone was so nice and was happy to talk to me about their job.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement here and would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about applying. The only problem is there is not a grad scheme offered for interns.
Yes
Be passionate and confident about your skills and what you're interested in. AXA IM will value the type of person you are so be yourself and get involved in every opportunity offered to you!
