Overview
Part of the Product Improvement team which specialised in the ongoing support and continuous improvement of all current products. Day to day tasks consisted of change requests, change assessment forms and cad fit checks.
Skills
Presentation skills, communication, problem solving and project management. Technical knowledge of engines and CAD.
Responsibilities
Yes, in charge of my own projects to implement change. Had the freedom to break down and run projects with other departments.
Support & Guidance
Placement students had major support with specialist sessions just for us. Manager and team where incredibly supportive, buddy scheme was also available for the first three months.
Culture
Due to covid, many worked from home which altered office culture. However, overall general atmosphere was very positive and supportive.
Your Impressions
Job role wasn't as simulating as I would've liked, however overall atmosphere and company culture was a pro. Many networking and social events set up. Location was a big negative.
