Overview
Involved; data processing and analysis using matlab and excel, project management, running and reporting testing, design work.
Skills
Developed matlab and excel skills. Improved presentation skills through multiple opportunities. Developed communication skills. Learn new hands on technical skills.
Responsibilities
Gained responsibilities throughout the year from running test rigs to leading projects
Support & Guidance
Good amount of support and guidance through own supervisor but also other members of the department
Culture
Company culture was good with people being very friendly and helpful. There was a bit of a lack in recognition though and uncertainty with new top leadership team, which did leave to some negativeness.
Your Impressions
The placement was very enjoyable and positive overall. There were many other placement students which was a bonus.
Yes
Be yourself and stay calm and collected in the interview as everyone is very friendly and they really just want a chat. For the application, make sure you've researched the company including sustainability
