Overview
Communication between suppliers and the engineering team on all defects and quality issues that are seen. This involved signing off process changes and root causing problems to make sure they couldn't happen again.
Skills
Lot's of CFD knowledge. Use of APQP. Lean Six Sigma, Communications. Problem Solving. Presentation skills to people from across the world.
Responsibilities
During the second half of my placement, I was responsible for my own fuel systems supplier where I was the point of contact for quality issues and I had a monthly meetup with them or sooner if needed to resolve any issues. This also involved visiting their facility.
Support & Guidance
My manager and his manager gave me lot's of support and helped me with any questions I had while allowing me to figure things out for myself.
Culture
Really good. There was a group setup for young professionals which ran after work events almost everyday.

It was really good. It gave me an insight into what I would like to do after university and I would recommend to anyone.
