The Role
Its been very enjoyable with constant new challenges.
You feel like part of the team and valued.
Support is available from your manager/supervisor when needed.
Quite busy with normal routine tasks but adhoc works adds to the workload and keeps it interesting.
You do get a lot of responsibility to ensure that your tasks are completed on time and correctly. The work you do does have a direct impact on various decision making processes.
Training sessions provided at the beginning of placement proved to be useful and can be transferred to other job roles/industries which makes it vey valuable.
The Company
Quite professional yet relaxed. Enables you to work in a comfortable environment.
Was well structured, specially with the handover period - which is when you learn a great deal about your specific job role.
Got some training sessions but this could have been improved. You can suggest courses you'd like to go on and depending on your role..may be signed up to it.
would consider it as it is fun and good career progression opportunities. A variety of jobs are available which you can choose from/apply to.
The Culture
There was quite a lot to do and many placement events planned - the first few weeks are great with a lot of events.
Very reasonable and affordable compared to other areas.
Its been good, but been to better places! There are undergrad nights out to other areas nearby which is always fun!
Opportunities are available and you are required to sign up to them. You do have the opportunity to suggest some of your own activities.
