Overview
I completed administration tasks including being on the phone with patients on a regular basis to book appointments and relay information. This included both with my AnDY contract and with CAMHS. I also had training opportunities which allowed me to run initial assessments with patients, and attend supervision assessments to guide a diagnosis. I also conducted audits, and shadowed clinicians with treatment sessions regularly.
Skills
I have developed my time management skills, as well as organisation skills. I have learnt specialist knowledge around conducting assessments and using online patient systems such as SPSS and RIO
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibilities as I was in direct contact with patients, conducting assessments that would directly impact their lives and booking them in. If not done affectively this could lead to issues further down the line.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance from my placement supervisor and the clinicians around me.
Culture
It was brilliant ! I couldn’t have asked for a nicer team.
