Overview
Working with cross-functional teams, most closely collaborating with analysts, consultants and assistant directors. The work was varied and fast-paced, often involving several tasks at once. My involvements ranged from transfer pricing business development research and advisory reports, to excel and one-source based compliance work, to administrative tasks such as engagement letters and work orders. Everyone I have worked with would take the time to discuss relevant background information in detail and answer all my questions.
Skills
I perfected more universal skills such as time management and collaboration, while also gaining more technical ones, such as exposure to tax compliance and tax calculations. The placement was also very valuable for improving communication skills, especially within a business setting.
Business Insight
There were introductory sessions within our nation-wide induction training, as well as training in our office. There were also several weekly online presentations covering different service lines & the applicable career opportunities.
