The Role
This job taught me a lot in terms of professional life style, working ethic and most importantly I saw how my degree was put to use.
I felt very valued, as I was offered new tasks from all lines of business' and when I said my goodbye's I got personal thank you e-mails from several colleagues.
Support was provided from all colleagues.
For an industrial placement student I did not feel like one, as we were all treated the same way and as time went by, the responsibilities increased.
I took it on myself to enrol in various courses online, and if needed I asked the team leader for training for the job specific.
The Company
There was never a dull moment
It was well organised, but Foundation shouldn't determine how placement students should be organised.
Foundation invested a lot in placement students, but the Accounting department didn't invest as much as it should have.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
Not the best within Accounting.
The Culture
Placement students always organised an event. If not the placement students within the department organised social events.
relatively cheaper than living in Surrey.
It was okay, could have been better in Portsmouth
The men had a football league, but the women didn't have any social activities outside of work.
