The Role
Extremely personable, down to earth and willing to give meaningful work to take part in.
Once I had demonstrated a willingness and ability to undertake the work initially set, I was entrusted with a variety of meaningful work.
If I had any issue whatsoever I felt comfortable enough to speak to the relevant person to ask a question.
I always had work to be doing which was great, but I was told to not stay too late and to go to the various graduate events organised.
With the work I was set I was given full responsibility, however ultimately everything would be checked over (understandable given the nature of the work).
The things I have learnt have benefited me far beyond what I expected and have given me a fantastic basis to build upon for when I enter the profession.
The Company
Brilliant atmosphere, everyone was lovely.
There was nothing that was not perfectly organised.
I was given the impression that this scheme wasn't just for the firm choosing whether or not to give me a job, but was also for me to find out whether they were the firm for me.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Should I be offered a job, it would be extremely hard to turn down in favour of another firm.
The Culture
All the students got on brilliantly and we were more than happy to go out on all the social evenings and then go out together after.
Relative to normal prices in London it was comparitvely cheap!
Didn't experience too much of the nightlife per se as most events were in the office or in booked local bars - however, this was more than satisfactory.
Social events included meeting prospective trainees, having drinks with other young professionals in the City, and most notably, playing the Nintendo Wii!
