The Role
This is the only job I have ever had where I looked forward to going to work every day.
Joining my team at Microsoft felt like joining a family. I have made life friends.
If I ever had a problem in my role I always felt like I could take it up with my manager and he would help me to know end to resolve whatever difficulty I was experiencing.
The nature of the job meant I was either very busy or not busy at all. But I like that about it.
I was given a lot of responsibility in my role, but I embraced it and it has given me a better work ethic and skills that I can use in my next role!
I have attained skills and made connections with people that have set me up for a career.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was relaxed and everyone is so friendly.
I was an unusual case in the beginning of my placement. So I cant really comment.
Anything I wanted for personal development was at my fingertips.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
I managed to get a job with another company that works with Microsoft.
The Culture
Due to the size of the office the number of people working there the social scene was what you made of it, there are a few events in the MS social calendar though.
The centre of Edinburgh is quite expensive for living.
The nightlife in Edinburgh is quite good, there is plenty to do and plenty of places to go.
As I said before there are plenty of things in the MS calendar that occur outside of work.
