Overview
I developed back-end APIs in Python. I supported the needs of the business by making data analysis easy. I spoke to other employees to find out more about their needs and implemented functionality to address them.
Skills
I learnt invaluable team-working skills,, using Agile methodologies and sharpened my knowledge of API design in Python.
Responsibilities
I was building out new tooling. Initially, nobody relied on the tools that we were developing. We were given a lot of control over the way these tools are designed and the interns on my team were free to organise ourselves, which I liked.
Support & Guidance
My coworkers were incredibly helpful and I felt at ease asking engineers around the company (within my team, and outside it) when I needed help.
Culture
Everyone is super friendly and open to talk. This fact is one of the highlights of my experience.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed working in a friendly environment and being able to learn from such a diverse range of people.
Yes
Make sure you make the most of the culture and speak to your coworkers (even outside your immediate team) to learn new things.
