The Role
My placement was a brilliant experience and gave me a wide range of marketing experience
My colleagues always offered me a very wide range of support and I felt like my contribution was always valued.
The management team I worked with provided me with all the support I needed to be a sucsess in the role.
I was very busy alot of the time due to the nature of our department and what we have achieved this year. However this was a positive thing as I feel a real sense of achievement and involvement in what we achieved.
I was given a huge amount of repsonsibility. For example I ran the entire point of sale programme for Retailers involving design, bugetting and logistical issues I also provided and designed reports for senior directors.
I have learnt some valueable skills in particular public speaking and presenting
The Company
Everyone I worked with was very supportive and made my placement a brilliant experience. We all have a good laugh too!!
The placement was well run and we were supported right from the start and given support to find accomodation in Luton. The undergrad placement is run by HR undergrad which helps.
I was given a range of good training in specialist software use and presentation skills.
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I would be very interested in returning to Vauxhall it was a great experience.
The Culture
The social aspect with other undergrads was fanastic , like university with money !!
Luton is a cheap area, but its all relative you get what you pay for !!
Luton itself is not the greatest night out but its all about the company you keep!! The surrounding areas are good for nights out only half an hour on the train to London !!
We had plenty of opportunities, the sponsorship of the England team meant I met the whole squad, watched them train at Wembley, played foobtall with Kyle Walker and had professional media training from Talk Sport!! My fellow undergrads completed several challenges : Londont to Brighton and the tube challange for example.
