Overview
I manage/track new parts that come when new documents are released, ensuring set ups are on track to being complete; take minutes during meetings for these parts/have my own meeting to discuss parts; process new customer orders that come in; send out daily emails (effective date for documents set and compiled customer orders); monthly/quarterly scorecards; activate new items.
Skills
Multi-tasking between different tasks and learning how to priortise what work needs completing first; communicating with different/new people through emails and in person/meetings; time management when completing tasks - especially with changing demand in workload (depending on new parts coming in and number of customer orders/new items coming through); development of analytical skills when looking through data.
Responsibilities
Responsibilties include: owning my own pending change tracker where I am responsible for all new parts added, staying on top of this is important as setups need completing in line with demand; processing all customer orders within a certain time period; completing quarterly measures
Support & Guidance
Lots of support was received during this placement, constantly in touch with managers and how I am getting along with tasks. One to one monthly reviews are also conducted where I can state any problems/issues I may need help on.
Culture
Inviting atmosphere where everyone is extremely friendly; diverse culture.
Your Impressions
I quite enjoyed my placement and the team that I work with, learning how different business functions work together in industry to achieve a common goal was very insightful and gave me a good experience for the future.
Yes
Advice I would give is to be yourself during interviews as it allows the interviewer to see what kind of person they would be working with.
