    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I helped assist with a wide range of CX focused projects concerning both our customers and retailers. The content of my workload was different everyday depending on what project I was working on at the time. Due to the wide spanning nature of the projects I was involved in, I got to meet and work with new people across and outside of the business regularly.

  • Yes, being in the workplace environment naturally builds your people skills and strengthens communication skills through working with lots of new people regularly. I have also learnt how to use many new systems as part of the projects I have been involved in.

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, I was given lots of responsibility and was trusted with leading several projects throughout my placement year which is really nice as not all placement schemes provide undergrads with this much responsibility.

  • I always was able to get support when needed and I had a great relationship with my manager so help was always available.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The culture at VWFS is amazing and was actually the key aspect that drew me to accepting the role when I applied for placements last year. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and always willing to collaborate.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I've been really enjoying my placement year so far and have gained so much experience and insight into the corporate world that I wouldn't have had if I didn't do a placement year. I think VWFS is an ideal place for starting out as an undergraduate student as there are many opportunities to get involved in new projects and collaborate across multiple business areas, whilst receiving lots of support and guidance throughout.
